This dark yet uplifting film noir thriller follows BAGHEERA, a determined young leader of an Indian Girl Scout troop, who equips them with amazing survival skills, courage and determination. Abducted by a terrifying psychopath, she uses her honed skills of her many achievement badges and adept intuition to defy her captor, escape his clutches and serve up a scorching retribution.
Chris Watson is an experienced writer-director who has shot feature films, TV commercials, music videos and brand centred productions all over the world. He is recognised for his ability to create detailed, emotional performances and arresting visuals. Chris has most recently been in India writing and directing films for the Indian market that also resonate with western audiences. Bagheera is enjoying a tremendous reception at international film festivals. Chris has an exciting breadth and depth of scripts in development, with 3 feature films planned for production in the next 2 years.
Christopher is an experienced writer, director who has lived in Mumbai, India for most of the last four years. He is fascinated by Indian culture and his work is focussed on exploring the extraordinary the diversity of human experience that he observes in the Indian landscape. His lens, albeit catalysed and relevant within Indian society, reflects issues that are important on a global scale.
This approach is epitomised by his 20 minute, Hindi language, proof-of-concept short film, Bagheera. The work tackles the violent denigration of women in Indian society but, as is borne out by its highly successful festival responses, is a subject that has deep international resonance. Christopher has written three feature films in Hindi language, that are currently in development in India. These stories are crafted to have impact for both Indian and International audiences.
